zooming in on a genomic region doesn't give the right region

Description
I found this on mm9, if you first go to a big genomic location and you want to zoom in on certain region, when I use the mouse to select the desired region and released it, the resulting region is not exactly the same as I intended and it all gave a more zoomed-in window.
To illustrate, image 1 shows the highlighted region I want to zoom in, I just select a region slightly larger than the highlight part and image2 shows the resulting region, which doesn't include all the highlight part.
Also, -1/3 zoom-out button doesn't give the right region either.. maybe these are related issues.
